INCLUDE ME+ is responding to the NEED to improve digital media literacy and combat the negative impact that it can have within communities. This has been exacerbated by COVID, wartime and natural catastrophes in Europe isolate citizens further and pose a threat to resilience, progress and peace. The Include Me+ project aims to make digital media inclusive!
This will be achieved through the collaborative effort of our partnership in developing an educational programme which will empower higher education educators, digital media providers and students to become responsible and active partners in shaping the future of digital media. We aim to create an understanding of digital media as a tool for good, for social justice and inclusion.
Through this research we will find out how digital media can use non-formal mediation processes and methods to produce inclusion, participation and peace-building effects. In this process it will also ensure participation of project target groups. In total it contributes to all 3 priorities.
will create a training programme (OERs) that teaches the use of mediation in media as a civic, inclusive method of reporting to all the stakeholders of the digital content creation: media representatives, HE students as active civic content creators, CSOs.
Documented Stories is an innovative learning and teaching resource that will showcase how mediation can increase civic participation in digital media and motivate media for their peacebuilding role and relevance of their position in support to Ukrainian refugees.
