INCLUDE ME+ uses inclusion through mediation to develop a new education programme and empower higher institution educators, digital media providers, civil society organisations, and students to become responsible and active collaborators in shaping the future of digital media so that it contributes to inclusion, participation, and peace-building across Europe.
Eight partner organisations across Finland, Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Türkiye, Spain, Germany and Ukraine came together to do one thing: hand the microphone to real people who rarely get one, and make their words impossible to ignore.
We are universities and civil society groups, communications specialists and educators, journalists and researchers. We are funded under the European Union's Erasmus+ programme. But mostly, we are people who believe digital media in Europe could be more honest, more inclusive, and more useful, and that the change starts with listening.
We want digital media in Europe to take responsibility for what it amplifies, ignores and distorts. We want universities to step into a leading role in teaching the next generation of journalists, content creators and citizens how to do this differently. And we want students, civil society groups and ordinary people, including those arriving here from Ukraine and elsewhere, to be active partners in that conversation, not its subjects.
We believe media that listens is media that builds peace. That is not a poetic phrase. It is a practical commitment, and these short films are how we are starting to make it real.
The Documented Stories you find here are one part of our deliverables within Include Me+. The full project also includes original European research on inclusion and peacebuilding through media; a free, open training programme for educators and content creators;.

From students, civil society organisations, and citizens who have rarely been asked.
Finland, Denmark, Ireland, Türkiye, Spain, Germany and Ukraine and every conversation that crosses between them.
Through YouTube, classrooms, premieres and one shared link at a time.
Free, democratic media is something we cannot take for granted. The platforms that shape what we see, share and believe carry an enormous amount of power, and right now, not enough responsibility.
These fifty+ films are a quiet, determined push back. They are a record of what happens when ordinary people are finally handed the microphone. And they are an invitation to the journalists, editors, content creators and educators who have the power to change what comes next.
New stories, freshly added. Listen to a few, see whose words stay with you.
Watch one. Share one. Be the reason somebody finally listens.
